Samsung Galaxy Tab S Review

Samsung Galaxy Tab S

Samsung named its first Android smartphone ‘Galaxy S’ and ever since this name has stayed with the brand. Samsung believes that the tablets made under the brand Galaxy S are the best tablets ever made by the company. The highlight of these Samsung devices is their super AMOLED displays. The closest competition to Samsung Galaxy Tab is Apple’s iPad. With its line of products, Samsung has been consistently aggressive in its strategy to capture a bigger market share. As a part of the strategy, a few devices by Samsung closely resembled the Apple’s iPad.

Recently, Samsung has launched a new tablet line called Samsung Galaxy Tab S. This line consists of two tablets- one with 8.4 inch and other with 10.5 inch screen. Samsung has really worked hard on the size, weight and performance of these tablets. These tablets are much superior in all these parameters compared to the previous models made by Samsung. And the infamous super AMOLED display will easily take on the displays made by its competitors. Galaxy Tab S is another attempt made by Samsung to beat Apple.

The 8.4 inch and 10.5 inch models are priced at 399$ and 499$ respectively. Surprisingly, Samsung Galaxy Tab is slimmer and lighter than Apple iPad. Tab S is known for an impressively large display with a resolution of 2560X1600 pixels. The colours are bright and nice. With the help of a few softwares, Samsung has tried to enhance the display in all senses. Samsung wants the world to know that it has taken the design part seriously while building this range of tablets. These tablets are well designed and come with a good grip. However they can’t match up to the premium feel of an iPad.
The tablets will be available in two vibrant colours- Dazzling White and Titanium Bronze.

Samsung chose Android KitKat 4.4 for this range. The home screen and interface are quite similar to the previous models. Multi-tasking is a delight on the Samsung Galaxy Tab S range of tablets.

There is good news for all the readers out there. Samsung has launched Papergarden, an integrated e-magazine service. With Papergarden, users will be able to read the latest magazines and articles by top publishers. Another impressive feature of the Galaxy Tab S is the new software SideSync. It will allow the users to enjoy calls both incoming and outgoing with the nearby Galaxy S5 via WiFi Direct. Just pair your Galaxy S5 with your Tab S and you can transfer files, access apps and do much more.

Samsung is also offering some cool accessories like a folding cover and a basic cover for the Galaxy S Tab. With these accessories, you can use the Galaxy S tab in different angles now.

Samsung has been known for launching similar products with minor changes but this time it is not the same. The company is very confident about its new line.

With the features and design of Galaxy Tab S, we now feel that Samsung is seriously ready to take on Apple’s iPad. Samsung has paid attention to almost everything in terms of design, user friendliness and above all performance.
